James Hartigan, DC

Dr. Hartigan is a graduate of university of Connecticut and the Columbia Institute of Chiropractic in New York.  He is a former faculty member at New York Chiropractic College.  He has been a partner at Metro-west Chiropractic Associates in Framingham, MA for over 30 years and is a member of the American Chiropractic association.

Chiropractic is helpful in treatment of a broad variety of musculoskeletal conditions such as neck pain, back pain and headaches.  Dr. Hartigan also treats a variety of soft tissue complaints such as carpal tunnel, shoulder pain, plantar fasciitis

Dr. Hartigan is available on Fridays from April through October on a weekly basis and one Friday a month during the rest of the year

CrystaI graduated from the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, MA after completing my internship at the Block Island Medical Center in September of 1993. Her most recent education has been focused on Cadaver Anatomy, Myofascial networks, Neuromuscular Massage, Hospice Care (in home), Massage Therapy for Cancer patients and survivors, Pregnancy Massage, Infant Massage, Elderly Massage, End of life Compassionate Touch and Canine Massage.

The techniques included in her work consist of effleurage, petrissage, percussion,(tapotement), friction, fanning, skin rolling, kneading, traction, twisting, stretching, rocking and holding. The methods consists of varied modalities including but not limited to Clinical Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Deep Compression work, Trigger Point Therapy, Passive Range of Motion Stretching, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Sports Massage, Neuromuscular Massage, Swedish Relaxation, Traction, Trager Work, Breath Work and Rehabilitation Massage.

If considering having your minor child experience massage therapy, please be advised that a parental consent form must be completed and signed prior to the apt.

Tom has practiced Physical Therapy for many years in a variety of settings and countries. He loves to learn and share knowledge. He utilizes manual therapy techniques to treat the source of symptoms. Services provided include a thorough history, clinical examination, objective tests, development of a treatment plan, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, soft tissue massage, joint mobilization, home exercise instruction and patient family education. Some modalities may be indicated including moist heat, electrical stimulation(TENS/IFC),ice, traction and iontophoresis.

Most insurances (Medicare, UHC, Neighborhood, Workman’s Comp) accepted with a Doctor’s/Nurse Practitioner’s referral. Direct payment is also an option and a referral is not necessary for those cases.

Dr. Eleni Pappas, DPM, focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle and lower leg. Conditions can range from bunions and heel spurs to congenital abnormalities and ankle and foot injuries. Podiatry services include general podiatry care, diabetic foot care, sports medicine and surgery.

Podiatrist Dr. Pappas has been in practice since 1986. She is a graduate of Brown University with a BA in Biology and received her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia ,PA in 1985. She completed her Podiatric residency at Cranston General Hospital. She is Board Certified in the American College of Podiatric Medicine. A lifelong RI resident, Dr. Pappas has been in private practice for 29 years in Wakefield, RI. She has been coming to the BI Medical Center since 1987. Dr. Pappas is married to her office partner, Dr. John Zervos who is also accepting patients at their Wakefield office.
