Dr. Casazza is a retired physician who practiced general Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology for many years.  He is board certified in both specialties. During his early years in practice, he developed a group practice that grew to include 20 medical subspecialists located in 5 towns with annual revenues of 10 million dollars. To facilitate managing this enterprise, he returned to school at night and obtained an M.B.A. degree.  Midway through his career, he was recruited and appointed to the senior medical administrative staff of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  His responsibilities were to initiate the development of a network of MSKCC cancer care centers in the suburban New York City area including the hiring and supervision of medical oncologists as well as development and implementation of a quality assurance program to make certain that the care in these locations was the same as the care at the main campus in NYC.  He helped launch 5 such sites by the time he retired.  Dr. Casazza is a graduate of Princeton University, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University and the University of Connecticut.   He has owned a home on Block Island for 44 years and was President of the Block Island Power Company from 2004 until 2016.
