It is with great joy and immense pride to announce that Block Island Health Services is officially a fully designated Rural Health Clinic! After months of hard work, BIHS has passed all accreditation requirements and has been approved as an RHC.
As BIHS leans into its rural identity, it defines itself in a way that is understandable to the outside medical community. This designation holds BIHS to high accreditation standards and increases our sustainability and eligibility for grant opportunities.
