COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics on New Shoreham
Dear Residents:
To help increase COVID-19 vaccine accessibility and to make sure ALL eligible Rhode Islanders can get vaccinated, we are pleased to announce that the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) and the Rhode Island Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT)’s Medical Reserve Corps will be holding weekly vaccination clinics here beginning Thursday, April 8.
Our Emergency Management Agency Director and Health Center Medical Director have been working closely with our state partners to provide these important vaccination opportunities here on the island.
On behalf of all of our island’s elected officials and leadership, we would like to express our thanks and appreciation to our state partners and those here on the island who have been working so hard to mitigate the threat of COVID-19. We realize this has been a challenging time and getting to this point has not been easy. With today’s announcement we are continuing to see progress and cause for increased optimism, even though we know demand continues to far outpace supply.
Island Clinic Details
•Clinics will be held Thursdays from 10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 10 Beach Ave., New Shoreham.
•Twenty-five doses of COVID-19 vaccine will be available each week.
•Eligibility at these clinics will follow State guidelines and are intended for New Shoreham year-round residents.
•You must have an appointment to be vaccinated. Residents who are interested in an appointment should sign up for the Vaccine Interest Notification List (VINL) at portal.ri.gov. RIDOH will invite New Shoreham residents who have registered on VINL to participate in the clinics through their preferred contact method (text, email, or phone). Residents will be prioritized by age (oldest first).
•Residents who do not have Internet or email access may have someone else sign them up for VINL on their behalf or can call 844-930-1779 for help.
•If there are unused doses, the clinic will also use the VINL list to call people for vaccination, starting with oldest to youngest.
•Block Island residents are welcome and encouraged to schedule vaccination appointments at State-run or regional vaccination sites on www.vaccinateri.org or at pharmacies that offer COVID-19 vaccine (such as CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and Stop and Shop).

Clínicas de vacunación COVID-19 en New Shoreham
Estimados residentes:

Detalles de Island Clinic
• Las clínicas se llevarán a cabo los jueves de 10:15 a.m. a 12:30 p.m. en 10 Beach Ave., New Shoreham.

• La elegibilidad en estas clínicas seguirá las pautas estatales y están destinadas a los residentes de New Shoreham durante todo el año.
