Specialized Orthopedic Physical Therapy is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable individual to join our team as an Interim Front Desk Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator while our valued team member, Allie Littlefield, is on maternity leave.

We are excited for Allie and her family as they prepare to welcome their new addition this fall, and we are looking for someone who can help continue the exceptional service our patients have come to expect.

 

Position Details

Position: Front Desk Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (depending on clinician schedule)
Duration: Mid-September through December 31, 2026
Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Conduct patient intake and data entry
  • Verify insurance coverage
  • Process and track insurance authorizations
  • Manage fax and digital document transmission
  • Calculate patient balances
  • Process patient payments and credit card transactions
  • Navigate and utilize electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management software

Training Provided

Comprehensive training will be provided before the start of the assignment to ensure a smooth transition and successful onboarding.

 

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Previous medical office, receptionist, or administrative experience is helpful but not required.
