On Sunday, June 14^th, the Block Island Health Center will host a first of its kind joint training exercise with Block Island Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department and New Shoreham Police Department, led by a team of Life Star paramedics and staff.

Block Island first responders and BIHC staff will participate in a series of emergency response drills to practice skills and promote inter-agency communication and collaboration ahead of the busy summer season. The full-day training will focus on major trauma management, resuscitation and airway management, and effective communication. 

The trainings will take place in the Block Island School parking lot and at BIHC. Please note that the BIHC will remain open throughout the training exercise in the event of emergencies.
