Renwick “Pete” Tweedy, Board Treasurer
From 1979 until 1994 Pete worked for Concord Lumber Company first as Office Manager and then as Comptroller. As Comptroller he was responsible for overseeing all financial activities and reported directly to the President. During his time at Concord the company revenues grew from $800,000 to $12,000,000. In 1994 he began working as a volunteer bookkeeper and financial consultant for AccessSportsAmerica, Inc., and non-profit organization that works with handicapped individuals. In 2006 he became their part time Comptroller and continued in that capacity until 2014. In 1994 he left Concord and was recruited to serve as Vice President by Spruce Computer Systems. Spruce Computer Systems supplied turnkey computer systems to retail Lumber and Building Materials suppliers. His responsibilities included traveling to customers’ sites to help integrate their computer systems into their businesses, discuss and explore refinements to the operating system, and ensure continued satisfaction with the product. This position required traveling five days a week and being away from home every week. In 1996 He left Spruce Computer Systems and started his own business doing accounting and consulting with small businesses, and continues in that capacity.
