A brief update, from Dr. Warcup, on the monoclonal antibody opportunities here on the Island and in-home testing that you've heard so much about in the media. Our previous monoclonal antibody opportunity was far more effective against the Delta variant and previous variants and less so against Omicron. We have secured the most current monoclonal anitobodies, Sotrovimab, which was previously only for hospital treatments, but we now have 12 dosages here on the Island giving us the most current treatments available.
If you recall the criteria:
- You're 65 and older and test positive for coronavirus, you are automatically eligible for consideration for monoclonal antibody treatment
- You're 64 and younger but have certain medical conditions, you're eligible for potential treatment if you've tested positive through an in-home test or an outside agency
- www.covidtests.gov and sign up to have home testing kits delivered to you
